Connect the USB port of the Rocware RM80 digital array microphone to the USB power port (power banks also supported), connect the SPK-OUT port to the audio with a 3.5mm audio cable, and mount the microphone on the ceiling. Turn the speaker on, then connect the microphone. RM80 requires no extra configuration and will take 10s to calibrate for the adaption to the environment to achieve contact-free amplification. Be noted that the distance between the microphone and the speaker should be at least 3 meters, depending on how many speakers are connected.

At the same time, the control of the gain ratio is also a difficult problem. Generally speaking, the sound is too loud when person is close to the microphone, the sound will be too low when person is far away. In order to still be heard when the sound is attenuated to the back row, it is often necessary to sacrifice the ears of the front row personnel and the speaker's voice. If the control is not good, the sound will be louder when it returns to the microphone than when it comes out, and it is easy to cause a big problem-----howling.
In this aspect, for RM80, no matter the distance, the sound is balanced, and the lecturer's low voice is still recorded clearly within 5 meters.
